calculating the limit:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The last one is obviously 1000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i tried sketching only it takes to long, and it says calculate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@FutureMathProfessor do you know how to calculate? instead of sketching.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one is undefined, the second one is 12, the third one is 1000 since it's undefined because the first 2 limits aren't equal to each other, which means undefined.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you guessing? @Idealist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it's wrong. the second one is ZERO.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anyone know how to calculate or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't ask for the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@idealist Might wanna check your arithmatic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not guessing. Since the first limit is -2-, which means you must plug in -2 into the function where it says x<-2, the second limit is -2+, which means you must plug in to x>-2, whatever you get, if these 2 limits don't have the same answer, then the last limit will be undefined and the answer will be 1000.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you're right, if you plug in -2 for the second limit, the answer is 0. I was mindless because I plugged in 2 instead of -2. But now you know it. I'm not guessing.
