A salad bar offers nine choices of toppings for lettuce. In how many ways can you choose five toppings?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@student365 45 ways?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9 C 5 is what you want. If you are not familiar with combination notation: m C n is:\[\frac{ m! }{ (n!)[(m - n)!] }\]Just substitute 9 for "m" and 5 for "n". Also, x! = (x)(x-1)(x-2) . . . (3)(2)(1) That's all you need mathematically to solve this.

126?
