Suppose we receive 2000 MWh solar energy in a piece of land. If we calculate the energy production for 5 hours/day in a year, it would be 2000 MWh/(5*365) = 1.1 MW. If we calculate it for 10 hours, the production would become half, while it should become twice. What's wrong with my calculations here?

OpenStudy (fifciol):

the production would becom twice( two times more energy would be used)

I know it would become twice, but how do you calculate it? If we divide it by 10, it would become half.

OpenStudy (fifciol):

2000 MWh is has the unit of energy. In one hour it would use 2000 MJ in 5 h - 2000*5 so you multiply it instead of dividing

I see. Thanks! :)
