helpppp pleaseee find the domain of the composite function G(F(x)).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (sumi29):

The composite function is defined for all values for x(or any variable), except for....? When you have that, you can find the domain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y idk

OpenStudy (sumi29):

OK think of it this way: This function, 2/x+6, always has a definite value no matter what is x. But for one value, it will tend to infinity, meaning its undefined. What is that value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im reall confused

OpenStudy (sumi29):

Alright. Tell us what happens when, in 2/x+6, you put x=-6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey @sumi29 said for all values on number line 2/(y+6) will return a real value except -6 for which denominator becomes 0 and hence infinity the answer which is not feasible.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@divagirl421 this might help u in computing domain and range of any function http://calculator.mathcaptain.com/domain-and-range-calculator.html

OpenStudy (sumi29):

@heybhai : Yes, that is what I was saying.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did x=-6 is it because of the positive 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes @divagirl421

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooo ok so what is done now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

test the link which i have posted it will clear all ur doubts
