Can I please have help with this problem, I'm having so much trouble! :( What is the value of x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you specify what those values represent? I mean what angles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No? That's all I have, the answers are 3/4 52/3 17 52/7

OpenStudy (fifciol):

I smell here intercept theorem. \[\frac{ 4x }{ 3x }=\frac{ 5x-8 }{ 3x+7 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X.X that makes so much more sense...thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you also the cross multiply?

OpenStudy (fifciol):

\[\frac{ 4 }{ 3 }=\frac{ 5x-8 }{ 3x+7} \rightarrow 4(3x+7)=3(5x-8)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so after solving it I got 17.33

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Keep it as a fraction... 17.33 = 52/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thank you :)
