In triangle ABC, AB=5cm, BC=3cm and AC=7cm. Find the measure of angle opposite to largest side
|dw:1376118753324:dw| law of cosines \[a^2+b^2-2ab*cos(x) = c^2\] where a,b are the legs connected to x so 5^2+3^-2*5*3cos(x) = 49
so you need to use the cosine rule... but hey... why learn when people just give answers
did I give an answer?
if you have microsoft math... just go an use the triangle solver
in pretty sure this is exactly what you did on the last question @campbell_st I can show you if you forgot
great... email me the link..lol...
anyway @Varu do you get whats going on so far?
yup
but at least it contained an explanation... which aids learning... |dw:1376119145921:dw|
I was getting to that until I was interrupted....
I explained just as much as you...
then what is the answer ?
is the answer sq. root of 49
@campbell_st since you like to point out that I am not using correct terminology can you please finish what you started? we all know you are the MATH so why should anyone else help. god forbid they say the angle that has the lines connected to it so that the user will understand .....
I have an answer For me the answer is 60 degree
Law of Cosine Cos(B)= a^2+c^2-b^2/-2ac
make sure you check with @campbell_st before you say anything
why me... I'm in 8th grade... not university
I don't like it when I see people telling others how they're giving answers. I mean sure it's not the greatest of things to do and when someone does so then one can PM the person and tell them that they shouldn't reveal answers. However, this should only be the case when the person does indeed reveal answers immediately however this wasn't the case here. @zzr0ck3r only showed the approach to solve the question so the OP can do the question him/herself..
the op told me in private I used the wrong terminology, then told me I must be in 8th grade for explaining it like that...the op @campbell_st is a fluttering retriceole
lol
I still don't know what fluttering retriceole is... even after googling it
yep
@campbell_st Study Oblique Triangles .
ok... well maybe we'll study them next year
guys chill
lol.. this is just to funny... how old are you zz I'm 14...
WEre the same Im 14 too But I already know that Topic
ok....I'll not comment
Because the best thing in doing math Is to study it by yourself
but I do need to know what a fluttering retriceole is... the only google reference is open study
ok... thanks for being such a polite person and telling me good luck with your studies
