ok what is it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry cant see that

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

So the first one says 1/cot^2 x + secx.cosx. WE know that secx = 1/cos x thus the second part is = 1 and we know that 1/cot^2 x = tan^2 x Thus the answer is tan^2 x + 1 which is the same as sec^2 x [BASIC IDENTITY] So the answer is D) sec^2 x

OH CAN YOU SOLVE ONE MORE THING PLEASE FORGOT TO ADD IT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor the algebraic expression below in terms of a single trigonometric function. csc 2x - 1

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

cosec 2x - 1 = 1/sin2 x - 1 which can also be written as (1-sin 2 x)/sin 2 x And we know that 1 - sin 2 x = cos 2 x Thus the answer is cos 2 x/sin 2 x = which is the same as cot 2 x :) I hope this helped! :)
