it only crosses the \(y\) axis once, so you can ignore A and D
look to see the three places it crosses the \(x\) axis
if I am understanding correctly I would choose C.

the numbers to the left of the \(y\) axis are negative

"quadrants" have nothing to do with it look at the number where the curve crosses the \(x\) axis you will see that the ones to the left of the origin are negative, so it cannot be C
