The amount of solar energy reaching one square meter of Earth’s surface each second is 1.366×103 joules. If this energy was converted into mass, how much mass (in kilograms) would be hitting each square meter of Earth’s surface per second? My answer for checking.. Divide E by c^2. 1.366 * 10^3 /(3 x 10^8)^2 1.5178 *10^-14
