Do you know Pythagoras' theorem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Why not use that here then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did, but my problem is I'm complicating it in my mind. i'm not sure whether i choose 4 or 4 sq.root3 or 12. i don't know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really don't think it's 12 though. i think it's 4 but i don't know how i would come up with a way to prove it. and it's probably wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so...?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

See the answer is sqrt 144 You write square root when something is being square rooted XD sqrt a^2 = a !! Like that! :)
