OpenStudy (mertsj):

All of those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has to be only one though...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Then go for the rising national debt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you please help me with this one?! I feel like it could be B, but I'm not sure at all!! Which Supreme Court ruling represented a victory for the women's rights movement? Roe v. Wade Miranda v. Arizona Illinois v. Escobedo New York Times v. United States @Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Roe v Wade All of those feminazis were screaming for the right to kill babies. And the supreme court gave it to them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! Okay. Thank you. c:

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me with this one too? @Mertsj How did the launch of Sputnik affect the American public? It prompted Congress to investigate communist infiltration in the federal government. It made many Americans realize that communism was not an inferior economic system. It raised fears that the Soviet Union could drop a nuclear bomb directly on the United States. It showed that the U.S.S.R was more interested in scientific development than in an arms race.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Which one do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it is A or C. I feel like D is the most possible one.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You have got to be kidding!!! You think Russia was more interested in scientific development than in an arms race??? An arms race was exactly what they wanted and got until Ronald Reagan beat them at their own game and caused the collapse of the Soviet Union. You had better start studying. I feel like I am taking your exam for you and I didn't even take the course.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

; ~; I'm sorry. It's just... -sighs heavily- If we're talking about the cold war, then I do know what is going on. But during the Sputnik, America freaked out and created NASA because they wanted to beat Russia to the game.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But, I don't feel like it can be C, because they already had that fear whenever Russia had taken over the missile bases in Cuba.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All of these answers are just confusing instead of understandable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean it's C!?! Why would they /NOW/ be worried about the missiles, if they already had Cuba to THREATEN America with the nukes. That doesn't make any sense!!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When was Sputnik launched?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It was launched in 1957, and the cold war began in 1947 through 1991.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When was the Cuban missile crisis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Cuban Missile Crisis was in 1962.....

OpenStudy (mertsj):

So why do you say that it couldn't be C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I guess it does make sense now...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How about this one? I have no idea what the answer can be for it at all...? @Mertsj What was one of the aims of the Contract with America? to reduce the United States' reliance on foreign oil to reduce the impact of money on political campaigns to reduce poverty and expand economic opportunities to reduce federal spending on social welfare programs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG @kymber @Mertsj

OpenStudy (mertsj):

What was the Contract with America?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have absolutely no idea, I tried reading it on wikipedia but I didn't understand any of it at all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a lot to read, isn't there a quick and easy short summary for it...?
