Can somebody explain Avogadro's Number?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

6.022*10^23 is the number of molecules per mole of an element

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

So if you read 1 mole of water, In your head think 6.0*10^23 molecules in a glass of water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So a mole is the same for any element or substance?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

yes. 1 mole of oxygen is the same as 1 mole of neon same as 1 mole of sustance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What could this information be useful for?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):
