Please help (Don't give me the answer please) I just want to know how to work this out the problem is (t^-4)^-9 * t^2 a. t^26 b. t^-26 c. t^38 d. t^-38 What I thought is I multiply the first part out then add the exponents and I got t^-36 Then I add the t^2 and get t^-34 but that's not one of the answers so I don't know please help

OpenStudy (leozap1):

@peacey its not suppose to be a map and I don't want the answer just want to know how to get the answer

OpenStudy (ankit042):

There are two negative signs...(t^-4)^-9 so you will get t^36 not t^-36

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Ok so it would be 38?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

@Australopithecus im pretty sure when u have exponents next to eachother like that, you add them.

OpenStudy (ankit042):

Yes c looks correct

OpenStudy (leozap1):

@ryan123345, would it be 38?

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

OpenStudy (leozap1):
