Find an equation of the line with a x intercept =1 and y intercept = -3. I'm completely unsure what method to use here.

x/a + y/b = 1 [Line-Intercept equation]
a = x-intercept
b = y-intercept
Put the values in
Get the final Line equation!

another way is to see that you are given two points \((1,0)\) and \((0,-3)\) and do it the usual way
