Can anyone help me with chord progressions I have to listen to them and write them down for my homework and I'm lost

Be more specific about the types of chord progressions you are referring to--as in--what do you need to listen to?

To get you started, I'd listen carefully to the baseline or the 'lower' parts of the song/piece you're listening to and see how it progresses in pitch. 

For example: in River Flows in You by Yiruma, you can easily distinguish the left hand from the right hand because it's such a technically-simple song. It's in the key of A major. The left hand hits F#, D, A, then E which translates into 6--4--1--5. This is because F# is the submediant or the 6th degree in the A major scale. D would be the subdominant or 4th degree in the A major scale etc etc.
