Create a set and call it A. Next, create a subset of A & call it B. Draw a Venn diagram to illustrate your two sets. Finally, find B'. To reciee full credit for this problem, you must: ~ Clearly sate A. ~ Clearly state B. ~ Clearly state B'. ~Submit a copy of your Venn diagram. What's B' ? .-. Looks like a typo .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could it be an exponent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No , It has to do with Complement and Cross Product

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhhh....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah . :I

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well this sucks! :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

j

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well what I did was A: {1,4,3,2} B: {1,3,4} B is subset of A .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just wanna know what B' is ._.

OpenStudy (phi):

B' probably means B complement,

OpenStudy (phi):

B union B' = set A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree

OpenStudy (phi):

so if you start with A, and take out everything that is in B, what is left is B'

OpenStudy (phi):

B' = A - B (where - means "take out")

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So how to I do that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add A together then add B together , then subtract ? .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cause if I do that , B': 2 .

OpenStudy (phi):

start with A means write a list of the the elements that are in A and take out everything that is in B means cross off any element on your list that is in B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

._. um what ?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, you get B' = { 2 }

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay . xD
