Does anyone have a graphing calculator?
I mean like a legitement graphing calculator
Yes, I have one. Why do you ask?
This is why:
ok, what do you need to do there that you can't do on the wolfram link that I posted? It can evaluate anything you punch into it just like a graphing calculator can.
It can even plot points. Here's the first three. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%2828%2C16%29%2C+%2835%2C13%29%2C+%288%2C2%29
Oh! Yeah I didnt know it could do that! thank you!
You're welcome. :)
I graphed it but how would i find it's equation?
Sorry, was having technical problems. Well, it kind of depends on how your teacher wants you to do it, and what work they want you to show (whether you can have the technological tool come up with the line for you, or use the formulas to find slope and intercept for the line). If you are to use formulas to compute the line yourself, just scroll down on this page: http://people.hofstra.edu/stefan_waner/calctopic1/regression.html If you can use technology, I figured out (by googling "Wolfram regression line of best fit" - wolfram is a great tool and can do a lot of things, if you aren't sure of the syntax just google and you'll probably find it), that you can get it from there using the syntax: linear fit {x,y}, {x,y}, {x,y} etc... I did one with some random point coordinates here: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=linear+fit+ {1%2C2}%2C+{2%2C3.1}%2C+{4%2C3}%2C+{4.1%2C5.2}
