I really don't get this one o.o Write the equation of the line with an undefined slope, passing through the point (2, 5).

OpenStudy (austinl):

A horizontal line has a slope of zero. Any other line has a slope of some sort, typically shown in fraction form. A line with an undefined slope is vertical, meaning that the line is expressed as, \((x,y)\rightarrow x=x \iff\text{m is undefined}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont follow. What so ever lol

OpenStudy (austinl):

\(x=2\) That is the equation of your line.

I was gunna ask if it was x=2! Ok. I see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey, also, I have one more

OpenStudy (austinl):

Ok, go ahead :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the line on the following graph.

OpenStudy (austinl):

It's y intercept is -1 and it passes through the point (3,1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it y=2x/3-1 ?

OpenStudy (austinl):

\(y=\dfrac{2x}{3}-1\) That is indeed the correct answer!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg. Thank you. I feel brilliant. Youre awesome! Thank you c:

OpenStudy (austinl):

You are very welcome. If you have any more questions, feel free to tag me in a question @harvardgirl95
