What is an example in frankenstein where a new view of the artist as a supremely individual creator, whose creative spirit is more important than strict adherence to formal rules and traditional ? & why procedures
One thing I would say is that the story itself, the mechanical creation of life at the hand of an individual, promotes that view -- Frankenstein is grasping at something traditionally reserved only to a higher power placing himself on the same pedestal. By crossing that line, Frankenstein is tossing aside any notions of traditional morality or ethics in order to further his own search for the truth regardless of the consequences.
