WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SPEAKER AND NARRATOR AND AUTHOR, I HAVE TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS FOR "THE OPEN WINDOW" BY SAKI AND "THE REUNION" BY JOHN CHEEVER AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE TWO, PLEASE HELP ME What is the speaker’s (as distinct from the narrator’s and author’s) attitude towards his or her subject and audience? How is this reflected in the tone? What does the passage reveal about the speaker? Who is the narrator? What is the relationship between the narrator and the speaker? Is there more than one speaker?
The one who addresses to a person or people for a particular cause or reason may be said a speaker. The one who says about some thing which happened in the past or said or written by him or others in the past may be a narrator. And the author is the one who has written something in the shape of a literature i.e.. a complete book or a part of it.
