OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thanks! lol... is there any type of formula or whatever for that, like the formulas that distributive property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No specific formula, just always group together the same variables.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No formula need friend :) They are easy ways :)

OpenStudy (psymon):

As long as the letters match you can combine them. They have to exactly match, though. Like, if you have 6xy and 5y, those dont combine because even though they both have y, they both must have xy. If you have 3x + 3x^2, they do not combine because even though they both have x, they dont match, one is squared. So given that they match, same letters, same powers, you can just combine them by adding and subtracting the numbers.
