x + y > 0 y>-x So the line to divide the solution region for this part is y=-x, then figure out which side of the line is the region. But the lines in b aren't even right. x + y + 5 < 0 y<-x-5 So the line that divides here is y=-x-5. Notice anything about that slope?
Also, both of these are strict inequalities. What does that mean about the lines?
