which is NOT an algebraic expression? a)- 6r b)- twelve plus b c)- 7/c - 12 d)-nine times four
well do u know the definition of an algebraic expression? It means: expression built up from constants, variables, and a finite number of algebraic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and exponentiation by an exponent that is a rational number). with that in mind can u eliminate some?
here is the definition of an algebraic expression - a mathematical phrase which can contain numbers, operators (add, subtract, multiply, divide), and AT LEAST ONE variable (like x, y) to represent operations.
and even if you weren't sure about that, you could look at them all and try to identify what all of the but one has in common
i think the answer is C
good guess but notice it has a variable which is "c" can u find one without a variable? or try to eliminate another one?
to be an algebraic expression you need to have a variable the answer is D
nice work
correct! good job(:
thank you:)
