Examples of newtons 3 laws with everyday life situations
Hi! Do you have any ideas? Or is there something you need to know before starting?
No, I would just like to see others peoples idea's of the 3 laws. It's for a survey thing im doing in science
I have idea's. lol
Haha, alright. I'll think then.... First one is about inertia, right? So, something continuing its constant motion until an external force is supplied? How about ..... a falling object has gravity as an external force, and so it will have an acceleration! And, when it reaches it's terminal velocity and there is not net force any more (air drag is just as "forceful" as gravity), and so it will continue in a linear path at a constant velocity. Second one, \(F=ma\). Or, \(F\) is proportional to \(a\). \(\dfrac{F}{a}=m\), so mass defines the proportionality... I would say that.... A larger force means a larger acceleration on any one object. So, your car will accelerate more when the force of engine explosions is greater. Now, to compare two masses, I'll think about a tractor trailer versus a car, and say they are using the same force (from engine explosions). Back to \(F=ma\)... If you have a greater mass, you get lesser acceleration from the force, so I would think the car would have a greater acceleration in that situation. Third, "equal and opposite" (equal magnitude, opposite direction), or forces come in pairs. When you push two balloons together, they both deform!
What kind of survey is this, anyway?
