Help... :'( How do you recover an overwritten file on Linux? Or if you can undo an awk command. I accidentally switched the input and output names for an awk command and now the original file is empty. I lost 400000000 lines of data.

The problem is I didn't delete it or wipe my drive. Those would have temporary backups.
Maybe you should read my question carefully before assuming.
And maybe you should learn how recovery tools work. Did you even look up the two mentioned and the different ways to use them before you assumed I did not know what I was linking?
