Anyone familiar with the website GeoBebra? I have to do an assignment on there, and it's so confusing. ;-;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*geogebra

OpenStudy (nory):

A bit...what is it that is confusing you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nory well, here's the assignment. Part 1: Constructions: Now that you know how to construct, it's time to create your own constructions. Select two constructions from column A and one construction from column B to complete using GeoGebra. You may need to submit multiple files if all three constructions cannot fit on the same page. For a reminder on how to save your file as a .ggb file please refer to the GeoGebra Introduction Video.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Column A (choose two of the following) Construct a line segment and copy it Construct an angle and copy it Construct a line segment and bisect it Construct an angle and bisect it Construct parallel lines

OpenStudy (nory):

Do you know how to do these on paper? Like, with compass and straightedge? Not on the computer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nory yes, I just had an assignment on doing them on paper previously.

OpenStudy (nory):

So you basically have all the steps required. Let's start with an easy one: construct a line segment and bisect it. First: click the button at the top that says New Point. Make two new points.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where do you even see that? @Nory

OpenStudy (nory):

At the top there is a line of buttons. Do you see that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nory On Geogebra?

OpenStudy (nory):

Oh wait: have you downloaded Geogebra yet? It is a piece of software for your computer.

OpenStudy (nory):

You can't exactly do Geogebra on the website.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nory i'm downloading it now.

OpenStudy (nory):

Good job. I think it will be much easier once you download it. :)

OpenStudy (nory):

Download finished yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nory yup, done!

OpenStudy (nory):

Okay. Now look at the buttons on the top. If you hover over them, you'll see their names. Can you figure out how to place points? How about draw lines and circles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much for your help, by the way :)

OpenStudy (nory):

No problem. I was waiting to use my extensive knowledge of GeoGebra. :) Not really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahaha, iokay, i know how to place points and such.

OpenStudy (nory):

Circles? Lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, that too

OpenStudy (nory):

Good. Now you just have to remember how you did your constructions on paper and you're good!

OpenStudy (nory):

Any more questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nory nope, that helped a lot! thank you!

OpenStudy (nory):

No problem.
