Diabetics are advised not to eat ripe plantains but green ones instead. Plan and design an experiment to show if this is true.

!) What is an appropriate hypothesis for this?
2) Can you please help with the Variables (controlled, responding and manipulated)?

ummm..wat i can think of is diabetics should avoid sugar...ripe fruits have more amount of sugars than the green ones. so this could be the hypothesis.

controlled. responding and manipilated. I only got 1 for controlled variable and that is ripe and green plantains. Is there any more for this?

Every well-designed experiment has three kinds of variables.
1) Control variables which are the same for each stage of the experiment.
2) Manipulated variables which represent what is being changed by experimenters.
3) Responding variables which respond to the change and ideally are the direct result of the change in the manipulated variables.

i need you to list those variables because i don't understand what to do. However i can share with you the example my teacher gave me:
Hypothesis: Fruits ripe much faster in the dark than in the light.
control variable: Time, ripe and unripe plantains.
manipulated variable: exposure to light
responding variable: Level of ripeness of bananas.

so maybe control would be ripe and unripe plantains.

responding would be the sugar content.

That makes two of us. What are some possible limitations for this experiment? by the way the aim is to test both ripe and green plantains for the presence of reducing sugars.
