Find all of the zeros of the function f(x)=x^3-15x^2+73x-111

Do you get to use a graphing calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you can graph it, and then there is a function on your calculator that will let you see the zeros, Or you can go through the painstakingly long process of guessing numbers and hoping they work out (you could graph the function and see what the first root is and then prove that it is a root by plugging it in). However most calculators don't work with imaginary numbers so you would have to use [-b+-sqrt(b^2-4ac)]/(2a) when you get to the ^2 form.

ok. ill graph it

Did you get the first root?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

once you get the first root. Then you have to put it in the form: |dw:1379379534258:dw| Then finish long dividing. After you are finished with that you need to put it in the quadratic formula which I said earlier and solve for the imaginary parts of the solution. Sorry I gotta go. Good luck! :D
