HELP!!!!!!! How did the Munich Pact contribute to the outbreak of World War II? It gave Germany access to crucial natural resources. It allowed troops into a formerly demilitarized zone. It deprived the Allies of an important defensive position. It encouraged German territorial expansion.

Am confused. :P

I'd go with the last one, (D) it encouraged German territorial expansion. Why? The Pact was an olive branch -- a weak response for appeasement to Hitler's demands for territory along Czechoslovakia's borders. Western powers thought that if they gave Hitler what he wanted, he'd stop nom nomming the rest of Europe. Of course, they were wrong. It only convinced Hitler that the West had no spine to stand up to him and Germany.

Thanks so much for explaining!!!! :D Here's your medal! :)
