i dont know how to write a explantion for that cuz its so simple
OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):
now lets look at the algebra
u+2 = 4
we have an equality so we may add/subtract the same number to both sides and still have equality
we want u to be by itself so we subtract 2 from both sides
\[u+2-2=4-2\]the 2's on the left cancel out\[u+\cancel{2}-\cancel{2}=4-2\]so
\[u=4-2=2\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thank you :)
OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):
I guess cancel might not be the words to use but
\[u+2-2=4-2\\u+(2-2)=2\\u+0=2\\u=2\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok so i do the oppsite from the + sgin
