You draw two cards from a well-shuffled deck of 52 cards. After you draw the first card, you do not replace it in the deck. What is the probability of P(get ace of hearts on first draw and get queen of spades on second draw)?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Welcome to open study! Well, there are 52 cards in the deck. There are a couple of ways to think through this probability, but I think the most straight-forward is: P(AH, QS)=P(AH) * P(QS|AH) That is: the probably of the ace of hearts on the first draw, multiplied by, the probability of the queen of spades on the 2nd draw, GIVEN THAT you got the AH on the first draw.
