how can you get an account banned?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct For major violations. The overview is there. The thing that most people miss is that it mentions school honor code. So anything that most schools do not like, such as cheating, are also things that can get you booted to banned here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

thomaster (thomaster):

You could also just ask for it to a user with a purple name :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how you got a purple name?

thomaster (thomaster):

purple name = moderator. They can ban your account if you're violating the rules

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i haven't violated though

thomaster (thomaster):

That's good, keep it that way and there will be no problem \(\LARGE\ddot\smile\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aww but i wanna become a mod some day

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Then have a flawless record, help lots of people, and show that you are a good candidate.

thomaster (thomaster):

It takes a long time, be a good user and maybe someday an admin will notice your awesomeness.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you get colored names?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

As your score increase the color changes. The exception is mods. They are all purple.

OpenStudy (swag):

Seems like your only interested in having a colored name @deadpool25

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Swag, that blue just does not work with that purple. http://www.colormatters.com/color-and-design/basic-color-theory

OpenStudy (swag):

Lol thanks for the advice

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, need to keep atop these important things... you know?

OpenStudy (swag):

Haha yes it very important I keep my colors matching @e.mccormick

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

=) Much better! Now they don't compete for being the brightest color.

OpenStudy (swag):

HAHA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@thomaster unfortunately, mod doesnt ban directly when we ask for ban. xD

thomaster (thomaster):

@Machida No, you'll have to explain your reasoning first.
