I need to convert 0.74 Kcal/min to cal/sec

OpenStudy (aaronq):

1 kcal = 1000 cal 1 min = 60 sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you divide by 1000? then multiply by 60?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you would multiply both times (because you're going from larger units to smaller units).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks a bunch and sorry not that smart and chemistry blows my head up

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no problem ! don't worry, all it takes is some practice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I have tons of homework so I should get good practice

OpenStudy (aaronq):

yep, you'll be an expert by the end of it !

OpenStudy (aaronq):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or my brain blows up lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

damn, i just realized what i told you is wrong. you're supposed to multiply by 1000 to convert kcal to cal, but you need to divide by 60 not multiply

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You should seek medical help if your head does blow up.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

hahah

OpenStudy (aaronq):

0.74 Kcal/min*\(\dfrac{1000\;cal}{1\;kcal}*\dfrac{1 \;min}{60 sec}\)
