How do I find the x intercept for f(x)=x^2+x-2/x^2-3x-4

OpenStudy (phi):

x-intercept means where it crosses the x-axis which means where y (or in this case, f(x) ) = 0 solve for the x values where x^2+x-2/x^2-3x-4=0

OpenStudy (phi):

for that to be zero, the top part must be zero, so solve for x^2 +x-2=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So x=-2 and x=1 for the top

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would I put both numbers or just choose one? @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

both

Okay thank you so much!
