¿Hay dos sofás en la sala?
Let's pretend the sentence has NO question marks. "Hay dos sofas en la sala." That means...."There are two sofas in the lounge." It's a STATEMENT. BUT...when we add question marks around the sentence, it changes the translation of the sentence. Now we have...¿Hay dos sofás en la sala? And that means...."Are there two sofas in the lounge?" Now it's a QUESTION, and not a statement.
@InYourHead has a good point, but if you are trying to look for a reply to this question then, because the question is asking you how many sofas there are in the lounge, you have to reply. You don't really have to say a true statement. You can just pretend how many sofas there are. For example: "Si, hay dos sofas en la sala."
thank u guys!
