a current carrying wire is negatively or positively charged

OpenStudy (priths):

A current carrying charge is neither positively nor negatively charged. It is neutral because it allows the flow of almost 95 % of the charge flowing through it and the rest of the energy is used up as heat so it remains neutral

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it depends on the connectivity of the circuit...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

According to me its neutral as the number of negative charges entering and number of charges leaving are almost equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be nutral as the total system is nutral and no extra electrons or protons are added. current is just the flow of eectrons which are already in the system.but in a certain moment we can find a little length where may be wire is charged because of un equal number of charge.

negative
