@myininaya @kelliegirl33

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the 1th picture I get a 4 for that expression. hold on a minute!

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #1.. just substitute 1 to the function f ..

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

@itsmeeQUENNIE thank you <3

hero (hero):

\(g(f(x))\) means to put f(x) into g(x). In other words, take the expression for g(x) and put it into the argument for f(x), then simplify as follows: \(f(x) = 6x + 2\) \(g(x) = \dfrac{2x+4}{5}\) Putting f(x) into g(x): \(g(f(x)) = \dfrac{2(6x+2) + 4}{5}\) \(= \dfrac{12x+4 + 4}{5}\) \(= \dfrac{12x+8}{5}\) Now to find \(g(f(1)):\) \(g(f(1))= \dfrac{12(1)+8}{5}\) \(= \dfrac{12+8}{5}\) \(= \dfrac{20}{5}\) \(= 4\)

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

@Hero thank you so much!

hero (hero):

Actually, the algebra is correct but I made a typo...For this problem, you put f(x) into g(x)... The last thing I want to do is confuse you.

OpenStudy (savannah_noelle):

Oh okay, I understand
