@jim_thompson5910 any idea how to solve this??
OpenStudy (anonymous):
PLEASE?
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
you're missing information
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
I see a whole bunch of percentages, but no actual value of any specific number of people
OpenStudy (anonymous):
this is exactly what it says in my algebra book

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
and you're sure all the numbers given are percentages?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yea
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thats why it's confusing
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
yeah usually when I see something like this, they'll give you a number (eg: the number of people who take the bus, buy a month pass etc)
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
you would then use that number to find the original total

ah ha* not smart enough to not catch that typo lol
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
anyways, you first multiply all the percentages given to get _____
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
keep in mind that 80% = 0.8 and 75% = 0.75, etc etc
OpenStudy (anonymous):
lol ok i gtg to bed school tomorrow.. bye thank you for the help!!!
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
well basically you will have this equation
0.8*0.8*0.75*0.75*x = 9
where x = # of students in the class
