Please help!! i need to know if my answer is right. Which point lies in the solution set for the following system of inequalities? y > x + 4 y > -x + 2 (1, 6) (-2, -1) (-3, 2) (1, 1) My answer : B
well, let's test B (-2, -1) => x = -2 y = -1 1st inequality y > x + 4 (-1) > (-2) + 4 -1 > 2 # so now, is -1 really bigger than 2 ?
No so it can't be B. My other guess would be D.
@jdoe0001
well, you're not supposed to be guessing :| you're supposed to test them, each one.. you think is D, well, test D then
1 > 1 I think that's right. :p I will just go with that.
1 > 1? hehe so 1 is bigger than itself? how can a number be bigger than itself?
\(\bf 1 \ge 1\) would be valid 1 > 1, is not
:p i guess your right. I'm new to this stuff >..<
so I guess is not D, though not a guess per se k=)
-3 > 2 isn't it either.
nope, 2 > -3
-3 is smaller than 2, so no dice on that one either
No it would have to be A.
hmm, how are you testing?
I just used what you showed me.
