When pyruvate molecules enter the mitochondrion during cellular respiration, they react to form

OpenStudy (abb0t):

carbon dioxide and I think acetyl coenzyme-A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pyruvate is product of glycolysis , then pyruvic acid react with NAD and CoA .reaction is given below Pyruvic acid + NAD + CoA -> Acetyl CoA + NADH + CO2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ethyl alcohol and ATP acetyl-CoA and carbon dioxide glucose and carbon dioxide lactic acid and NAD+ so which one of these?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me with one more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah .. I try my best :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What happens during the Krebs cycle? ATP and NADH from food are converted to CO2 and O2. NADH from glycolysis is converted to ATP and O2 molecules. Glucose is broken down in a cycle of reactions to form pyruvate. Pyruvate is broken down in a series of reactions to form CO2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically ATP is formed in kreb's cycle then in electron transport chain energy of this ATP is used to form water molecule

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see the output in kreb's cycle are 4 Co2, 2 ATP 6 NADH and 2 FADH2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly i dont understand anything you just said haha thanks though!
