Step One: Create Use the information from the lesson to create 10 statements, five that are factual and five that are fictional. You may wish to use this template to record your statements and complete the rest of the steps. One statement that you may use toward the 10 total appears as an example in the template. Step Two: Survey Share the statements with a parent, guardian, or other trusted adult to see if he or she can determine the facts from the fiction. Once complete, note whether your survey respondent was correct or incorrect for each statement. Note a reason why the statement
either fact or fiction. Step Three: Reflect Write a paragraph response for each set of questions. Your first paragraph should be concerned with facts. The second question and paragraph reflect your opinion. What were the results of your survey? What factors may explain the accuracy of your respondent? How important is it to get the “absolute facts” in history? Do questionable stories like “Follow the Drinking Gourd” have a place in learning about history?

Eli Whitney’s invention of the cotton gin transformed the nature of U.S. slavery in the early 1800s. Enslavement grew larger and more profitable than ever before in the nation’s history. While Southern states took steps to protect the practice, a growing antislavery movement was brewing in the North. Both free and enslaved African Americans took great risk in supporting abolition or aiding escaped slaves. Though there are many myths regarding the Underground Railroad, the stories help us remember the brave Americans involved. They inspire modern movements to protect equal rights and protection for all. Now you should be familiar with key people and events in the effort to fight slavery before the U.S. Civil War. In this assignment, you will create summary statements related to the lesson and reflect on your learning.

Honestly I can't help you not because it is impossible, but because you need to interview parents and such. I don't see how I can interview your parents. It doesn't sound that hard just time consuming. The only thing I could really help you with is helping you understand the instructions. Just get it started and once you get going it will seem a lot less strenuous.
oh no, i dont need you to interview anyone, just set up the survey and such. my brain is kinda shot right now
any help would be great
