Solve |x|<13

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its the absolute value which mean positive and the x is already positive, so the problem become x<13 and thats your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example if the problem was |-x|<13 then the problem would look like x>13 because with the absolute making it a positive from a negative you have to switch the signs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in this case it was already positive inside the lines so you don't need to flip the sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these are my chooses {-13, 13} {x|-13< x< 13} {x|x< -13 or x> 13}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c: hope I helped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you low but witch one is it out of my chooses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you do not have multiple answers for this what you wrote makes no sence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\large |x|<13 \implies \begin{cases} +x < 13\implies x < 13\\ -x < 13\implies x > -13 \end{cases}\)
