Explain how please

Well those equations are in y=mx+b where m=slope and b=y-int. So your y-int. is where you can start your line. In this case both start at-8 also known as (0,-8) As for your slopes \[slope = \frac{ rise }{ run }\] Up is for positive slope down is for negative slopes. so if you has 3 as the slope then it's \[\frac{ 3 }{ 1 }\] Up 3 over(to the right) 1 to find the next point on the line. And if you slope is 1 which is what the second one is because it just says x then you have \[\frac{ 1 }{ 1 }\] Up 1 over(to the right) 1 to find the next point on the line.
