the number of terms when the algebraic expression 3x+2y-z+3z+5 in simplified is A.5 B.4 C.3 D.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each term is separated by a + (plus) or - (minus) therefore there are 5 terms in 3x+2y-z+3z+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't it be 4 terms because you can combine the -z and 3z?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah...you're right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you understand it now or are you good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the z terms combine see this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3z-z = 2z
