OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

When 10 is raised to the nth power, you add n 0s. So it would be 10000. Now what is 10000 * 9? Hint: Juts multiply 1 and 9 and then add the same number of zeros.

OpenStudy (anonymous.):

Did you get your answer :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9 x 10^4 = 9 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 90,000 '4' tells you how many times you should multiply 10 count how many zeros you have then add it to the figure
