If a number is an integer, then it is rational. True or False If false provide a counter ex. I know its false so I just need a counter ex. Thanks in advance

It's not false, its true. A rational number is any number that can be written as a fraction with integers in the numerator and denominator. Give me any integer, and I can write it as a fraction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks :D

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

A rational number, by definition, is a ratio of two integers. Thus every integer is a rational number because it can be written over one. For example 7 = 7/1.

Ok i have one more Q also would you mind?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Supplementary angles are always linear pairs T or F If F counter ex.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BangkokGarrett

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@calculusfunctions @CarinaSarfati

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Supplementary angles are angles that have a sum of 180 degrees. So by that definition, what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

false

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it is a straight angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnks ill give you best response

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you give a counter ex.?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

@Pyromancer please think about it. If supplementary angles are straight angles, that forms a line. Hence that alone implies linearity. Therefore two supplementary angles always form a linear pair.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG(oodness) thank you sooooo much lol :D

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

A line has a straight angle, right? A line is linear, right?
