Chem question? 2. A block of material has a volume of 2 m3. It has a mass of 1 × 104 kg. Calculate the density of the material sample and express your results in g/cm3 with appropriate scientific notation.
density = mass/volume; 104 kg / 2 m^3 --> 52 kg / m^3. 1 m^3 must be turned into cm^3. because of the cubes, 1m^3 is not 100 cm^3.
1m^3 is not 10cm^3* because of the square and cubic relations like illustrated: |dw:1380660410712:dw|
I believe 1m^3 would be 1000cm^3
52 kg / 1000 cm^3 "kilo"gram -> one thousand gram 52 000 / 1000 cm^3 --------> 52g/cm^3
thanks for explaining that! seriously u have no idea how bad im sucking in chem
thankss i completly understand now!
