Suppose you are going to graph the data in the table below. What data should be represented on each axis and what would be the appropriate increments? Reporting periods Sales Jan.-Mar., 2010 $100,000 Apr.-Jun., 2010 $55,000 Jul.-Sep., 2010 $45,000 Oct.-Dec., 2010 $110,000 Jan.-Mar., 2011 $330,000 Apr.-Jun., 2011 $800,000 Jul.-Sep., 2011 $242,000 Oct.-Dec., 2011 $150,000 x-axis: time period in increments of 1 month; y-axis: sales in increments of $1,000 x-axis: sales in increments of $1,000; y-axis: time period in increments of 1 month x-axis: time period in increme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your x-axis would be the time intervals of 1 month while your y-axis would be the sales in intervals of $1,000. personally, i would prefer to use $5,000 intervals rather than $1,000. anddont forget totitle your axis and graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would i solve this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

increment, not interval, sorry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i still dont get it :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm. how big is your graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

their isnt one your suppoing their is its just a question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. haha, i thought you were graphing this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it like a multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-axis: time period in increments of 1 month; y-axis: sales in increments of $1,000 if it is, i believe that would be your answer. ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-axis: time period in increments of 1 month; y-axis: sales in increments of $1,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is the answer i would choose.

A car travels 100 meters in 5 seconds. What is the speed of the car? speed = distance over time; 1 mile = 1609 meters 8.9 miles per hour 16 miles per hour 20 miles per hour 44.7 miles per hour what about this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh geeze. i havent done this in forever.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its about 16 mph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because if you round 1609 to 1600,then that divided by 100 would give you 16....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

np, i could be wrong on that one too, but you're welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i get an F on this text your the one to blame

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha. blame me all you want. and i didnt mean to put the too.
