Help please! Idk how to solve to get an answer. Check out the attachment in the comment box for question & answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

recall that arc length xy = arc length xz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I added & divided by 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk.. That's why I'm asking for help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the measure if xv?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many degrees in a full circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so xv is half of that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what other lenght us zv equal to?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooh so the answer is 43?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're looking for xy, you need to find a measure the is equal to xy. xy=xz does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand. I see that xy=xz is 180 ehen added. Idk whats the next step in finding the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xz is not 180, xv = 180 the line xv cuts the circle in half. xy=xz=xv-zv you know some values for some of those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow! I'm still not getting it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is length zv?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

43

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and what about length vy?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O_0 43 also?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right, why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they both have the same arc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and how does this help you get your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, its the information you need to get the answer, im not going to tell you the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

43 + 90 = 133 correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you think its 90?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b/c its one the degrees inside the circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no arc length in this circle is 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the next step? b/c your confusing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xy=xz=xv-zv you know some values for some of those. what is xv and zv?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your formula doesn't make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its fine, what is length xv? and what is length zv?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zv=43 xv=90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mick14731

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why do you think xv = 90? what does 90 look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xv=133
