2(4x+2)> -5[1+2(x-1)] Find the interval notation for me? Please its my last problem for my study guide and my mind has gone blank. Anyone just give me the steps to solve it? you don't even have to work it out :P

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

hi, first....simplify the brackets what will u get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

brackets meaning either sides of the > or the [1+2(x-1)]

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

\[2(4x + 2) > -5[1 + 2(x -1)]\] \[ 8x + 4 > -5[1 + 2x -2]\] \[ 8x + 4 > -5[2x -1]\] \[ 8x + 4 > -10x +5\] \[ 18x > 1\] \[ x > 1/18\] did u get it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh okay, so the final answer is x>1/18?

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

yeah!!!

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):
